Some; Something, someone, some

.Any; Anything, anyone, any

.When do we use words with "any" or "some"? It is very easy

It the sentence is positive, use "some". If it is negative use "any".1

(I need some new movies to watsh.(positive sentence

(.I dont need any new movies to watch. (negative sentence

.I want something to eat because I am hungry

.I dont want anything. I ate to much for the lunch

.She needs someone to help her

.She doesnt need anyone to pick her up


2.Use any in questions

.Use some in questions if it is in offer or request

?Question: Do you have any money left

?Offer: Would you like me to get you some popcorn

?Request: Could you get me some DVDs at the video store


3.Use any in positive sentence when it follows a negative or limiting word

.She never does anything nice

.He hardly ever has any heathly food at lunch

.They rarely bring anyone to their house

.They did their work without any complaining
